Sous le ciel de Paris... |
My name is Kellye and I am a 20 year old Art History major/European Studies minor from Beloit College. I am currently studying abroad in Paris for 4 months, and will be sharing my experiences with travel, Parisian life, art, and living in a foreign country. Enjoy! |
Yesterday I went to the famous Angelina’s…. home of the best hot chocolate i’ve ever had. It was almost as thick as pudding, I kid you not. It was so rich and delicious. I also had a strawberry cheesecake dessert, which was also wonderful. Mmmmm i’m gonna miss that place.

FUCK YOU. I can’t WAIT to not have to live with you anymore. You and your loud banging in the fucking kitchen all the time, your disgusting food, your stutter when you’re nagging me around, the way you go through my room when I’m not in the apartment, everything. Go to hell. By the way, you’re not getting SHIT from me as a going away present.
8 days… almost 7. I can do this.

Here are a few of the photos I took… It was really hard to get good photos with the light quality/crazy movement going on around me, but these are sufficient :)
Julian at the Bataclan- singing River of Brakelights (sorry in advance for the horrible sound quality) and then JUMPING into the crowd right on top of me. It was glorious, enjoy.
Yesterday, I went to the Bataclan in Paris to see Julian Casablancas. Along with Stuart Murdoch, this man is like, my favorite musician in the world, so it was a big fucking deal for me.
The concert was seriously amazing. There’s really no way to describe how happy I am that I had that experience. I was really close to the stage, and I made eye contact with Julian at least once.
There was also a time when he jumped into the crowd right above where I was standing for AT LEAST 30 seconds. I was touching him all over…. haha. I swear, I didn’t try to violate him- I just touched his arm, chest, neck, hair, etc… The best part is, I happened to be filming with my camera, so I got it all on video, which I will be uploading next… :) also, i’ll be uploading a photoset of some pictures I took.
I bought this ring at a really cute jewelry shop here in Paris, and I love love loved it. However, last weekend, I got a little drunk and the stone fell out. I thought I had lost it forever and I was kind of bummed out… but today, I was emptying out my bag, and guess what fell out of the lining??? The stone from my ring!!!!! I even did the little jumpy dance that Carrie did when she discovered her lost necklace in the lining of her bag in Paris… I love life.

OpĂ©ra Garnier- one of the most beautiful buildings in Paris. Also, the building that inspired “The Phantom of the Opera.”
